KLS offers better sore throat relief
We looked into how ketoprofen lysine salt (KLS) mouthwash stacks up against benzydamine hydrochloride (BH) for treating sore throats. In a single-blind study with 241 patients, both mouthwashes were used twice daily for seven days. Results showed that KLS provided longer-lasting pain relief and was better tolerated than BH. While both treatments had some side effects, significantly more BH users reported issues. Overall, it seems KLS might be the more effective option for soothing a sore throat.

Weak symptom relief
It could be better. In my case, herpes showed up with body aches, a low-grade fever, and a chronic sore throat. I searched for the cause for a long time and saw several doctors, none of whom guessed it could be herpes. I figured it out myself. I took antivirals for 5 days and then switched to lysine. The supplement is effective but weak; the symptoms reduced only slightly, whereas the bark of the ant tree worked better.
